ICAE and HPT Vietnam Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation

On November 11, 2024, at the Pullman Hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the International College of Advanced Education (ICAE) and HPT Vietnam formalized their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This agreement outlines a collaborative effort wherein HPT Vietnam will work with domestic partner institutions to implement training courses based on programs and curricula provided by ICAE, adhering to Australian vocational training standards.

The training programs will focus on sectors experiencing skills-labor shortages in Australia, including restaurant and hotel management, patisserie, commercial cookery, bartending, beauty therapy, and massage. This initiative aims to equip Vietnamese students and workers with enhanced skills and internationally recognized vocational certificates from Australia.

ICAE will be responsible for developing and accrediting the training programs according to Australian standards, supplying international lecturers, and organizing certification examinations in Vietnam.

The project offers numerous practical benefits, including global career opportunities for Vietnamese students and workers through Australian-recognized certifications. Learners have the option to attend graduation ceremonies in Australia or Vietnam, enabling them to obtain international qualifications without leaving Vietnam, thereby reducing costs and ensuring high-quality vocational training outcomes. Support from entities such as the Australian Embassy and Vietnam’s Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs simplifies visa issuance and labor export procedures for students and workers.

The proactive and enthusiastic collaboration facilitated by VAFIE and NTVBC has strengthened vocational training partnerships between ICAE (Northern Territory of Australia) and Vietnamese institutions, enhancing human resource quality and educational and labor cooperation between the two countries. This cooperation is expected to create more opportunities for Vietnamese youth and skilled labor to reach international standards.
